On 21 August 2026, “Mihai Eminescu” Secondary School in Alexandria,Romania hosted the EcoVogue National Multiplier Event, bringing together stakeholders interested in STEAM education, sustainability and opportunities for girls in STEAM.

The event presented the main objectives and results of the EcoVogue – Fashioning a Sustainable Tomorrow: STE(A)Ming Against Climate Change project, highlighting the use of sustainable fashion as an engaging context for interdisciplinary STEAM learning.

A special part of the event focused on the GreenVogue Club, where 10 female students participated in activities involving sustainable fashion, textile reuse, upcycling and project-based learning. Their experience illustrated how creative and meaningful contexts can support the development of communication, critical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Participants also learned about the teacher training and EcoVogue piloting activities, which involved 40 education professionals through a hands-on workshop and an online seminar.

Another key moment was the presentation of the EcoVogue Policy Recommendation Report, including its findings and recommendations for strengthening sustainable and inclusive STEAM education in Romania. The event concluded with a round-table discussion and networking, creating an opportunity for dialogue and future cooperation between schools, educators, organisations, authorities and the local community.

The multiplier event contributed to the wider dissemination of EcoVogue results and to the ongoing dialogue on girls’ participation in STEAM, sustainable education and the responsible use of resources.

On 13 August 2026, the EcoVogue project hosted its Multiplier Event in Vienna, bringing together 17 participants, including educators, sustainability experts, and professionals from the fashion and STEAM fields, for an evening dedicated to reflection, dialogue, and collaborative input on the project’s work.

On Thursday, 6 August 2026, the Event Hall of the Serres Chamber of Commerce played host to a pivotal moment for the EcoVogue project: the National Promotion Conference. This gathering was designed as a multiplier event, one of the key dissemination activities envisioned in the project proposal, with a clear ambition — to take the findings and policy recommendations born out of local classroom work at Aristotelio and place them firmly on the national agenda.

EcoVogue set out to explore an important and often overlooked intersection: sustainable fashion as a gateway into STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) for girls. The project’s Fashion Club had already produced a national report highlighting the persistent gender gap in STEM fields and offering eight concrete policy proposals to help close it. The National Promotion Conference was the moment to share that work beyond the school walls — with the policymakers, educators, businesses, and civil society organisations who could help turn those proposals into real change.

On July 10th, 2026, representatives of Spanish institutions, businesses, NGOs, and education professionals met to learn about EcoVogue and its impact on girls’ education. This meeting aimed to highlight EcoVogue’s role in bridging the gender gap in STEAM and addressing sustainability-related topics in Spanish schools. While following the legislative directives of Spain’s national education legislation (LOMLOE, 2020) and its specifications for the Canary Islands, EcoVogue has motivated female students to pursue STEAM-related careers while developing their scientific knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking. By utilizing sustainable fashion as a pedagogical catalyst, the initiative successfully translated high-level technological skills into creative, real-world solutions that motivated all students to work on the project and learn more about the connection between science and fashion. For educational authorities and policy stakeholders, the EcoVogue project offers a definitive blueprint: by combining data literacy, critical ecopedagogy, and public-private industry mentorship networks, public education can successfully prepare a new generation of female innovators to lead Europe’s green and digital transitions.

The EcoVogue project recently held its Third Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) in Alexandria. Project partners gathered to review progress, coordinate upcoming tasks, and discuss the continued integration of sustainable fashion and STEAM education methodologies.
